Marius Šumudika equalized in just two minutes, leading the score to 2-0
Football in Turkey came to a halt eight days ago after referee Halil Umut Meler was beaten at the end of a game between Ankaragucu and Rizespor.
In the 17th round, the team coached by Marius Šumudike, Gaziantep, ended the match with Adana Demirspor in a 2-2 draw.
Before the start of the game, the Romanian coach presented the referee Bahattin Simsek with a bouquet of flowers as a sign of respect and solidarity with the Knights of the Whistle.
Gaziantep opened the scoring in the 47th minute through Kizildag, and at the beginning of the second half they doubled their lead after a goal by Markovych.
It took just two minutes for the visitors to restore parity, with Akbaba (71st min) and Akintola (73rd min) giving former rivals CFR Cluj a point.
In the team coached by Marius Šumudike, international players Denis Dragush and Florin Nice started.
After 17 matches, Gaziantep is in 15th place in the Turkish championship with 16 points, which is two above the relegation level.
