This original “offer” would only be valid under the conditions that the relevant magistrate would issue a favorable verdict (softer decision) in a case in which a relative of the defendant would be tried for alleged corruption crimes.
- Later, on November 6, 2023, the defendant promised the judge, through the same witness, the sum of 50,000 euros, which was an advance from an amount that had not yet been quantified, but was at least equal to the previously mentioned amount. , the rest will be returned after the day of the court’s acquittal in the relevant case.
- In the context mentioned above, on November 8, 2023, in a restaurant within the radius of the municipality of Cluj-Napoca, the defendant gave the witness a promised advance of 50,000 euros and other illegal benefits, in connection with which a flagrant crime was committed. is established.
