
According to an analysis by LEKTRI.CO, Romania has crossed the threshold of 40,000 registered electric cars after more than 15,000 were registered in the first 11 months of this year. The Dacia Spring has the most vehicles (over 16,000), while the Renault Zoe has two, and Tesla’s Model Y and Model 3 are very close. More than 40 fully electric models are sold in the country. What does the sales rating look like?
The overall ranking of electric cars in Romania is still led by Dacia Spring with 16,263 registered units, followed by Renault ZOE and Tesla Model Y with 2,325 and 2,279 registered vehicles respectively. According to LEKTRI.CO’s analysis, the Renault ZOE may leave the podium in the near future thanks to two models, the Tesla Model Y and the Model 3, which are less than 100 units away from the 2nd place.
Almost 1,800 Volkswagen eUp! vehicles, more than 1,300 electric Hyundai Kona and more than 1,200 Volkswagen ID3s are registered.
In the first 11 months of 2023, the Dacia Spring has more than 6,000 units, while the Tesla Model Y has almost 2,000. The Renault Megane E-Tech has sold 763 cars, and the Hyundai Kona has sold 400.
According to centralized data, more than 1,300 electric vehicles were registered in November alone, of which 67 were LCVs. Hyundai Kona entered the TOP-3 of the most registered models with the number of 71 units, which was located on the last step of the pedestal and overtook Tesla Model 3.
On the first two steps of the pedestal of honor are the same two established models Dacia Spring and Tesla Model Y with 569 and 144 registered units respectively.
Similarly, the premium segment, home to Audi, BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Porsche, recorded 133 new registrations in November, with Mercedes-Benz the most popular premium brand with 56 units registered.
