AUR leader George Simion said on Friday that after coming to power, his party will cut social benefits for everyone who can work.

“In our government program, we propose to reduce labor taxation from 47% to 25% and stimulate work for the first 5,000 lei. Even if it is an unpopular move for some and no one has the guts to say what should be done with subject and predicate, over time we have said some uncomfortable truths and assumed some things that are hard to assume. I will tell you that AUR, once in power, will cut social benefits for everyone who can work. It’s time to get rid of social workers who are healthy and can be employed in the field of work.” said Simion, quoted by news.ro

The AUR leader also showed that “the biggest problem of Romanian entrepreneurs, apart from the control institutions that drive them, demand money from them and prevent them from developing, is precisely the labor force.”

“This year, a new contingent of 140,000 third world nationals got work permits, because you can no longer find people who want to work in Romania, because work is taxed, work is not encouraged, Romanians are driven abroad because of these taxes and taxes, Romanian entrepreneurs are not given credit or encouraged. And what remains to be done? Let’s bring Sri Lankans, Nepalis and pay some and others to sit in a bar all day long and support the yellow mayor or the red mayor. It’s time to stop these practices, and someone should say with subject and predicate: we are cutting social benefits for those who can work,” said the president of AUR.
