Deputy Alin Ignat (PNL) said on Tuesday on Prima TV that he is working with several colleagues from the PNL on a legislative proposal that would provide for agreed tax credits, which mean amounts above the minimum wage, with different thresholds, so that if in you are 500 lei above the minimum wage, this 500 lei should be taxed at 20%, not 46% as it is now.

He noted that the goal is not to propose some objects that only reduce revenues to the state budget, but to come up with some objects that also help the state.

“If you have 500 lei above the minimum wage, we only take 20% of that 500 lei. This is an idea because we want to encourage undeclared work to find out so that people have the correct salary in the labor book, because today there are people who have the minimum wage under the employment contract and still collect 500 lei, 1000 lei above what is stated in the contract. The state does not take anything for this money, is it better to take zero or 20%? Because apparently 46% don’t take it,” Ignat showed.

The MP stated that this is what the PNL wants and they will be successful with this so that when these people retire, having made the correct contributions, they will receive the correct pensions.

“The project is not finished. In principle, we do not touch pension contributions, because we have a problem with the social insurance budget, with level II, but everything that means pension contributions can be discussed,” said the liberal, clarifying that the coalition agreement.

“We hope that by the end of the parliamentary session we will finalize it, present it to coalitions and discuss it. We will convey this to the leadership of the NLP, it will positively affect the state budget, this goal is not to propose some objects that only reduce the income to the state budget, but to propose some objects that also help the state. “, said Alin Ignat.
