Elon Musk has restored the account of American far-right conspiracy theorist Alex Jones on the social network X, which was closed in 2018 after he said that the massacre at the school was nothing more than a hoax by anti-gunners, reports AFP. Jones’ account was reinstated after being interviewed by Elon Musk. The conspirator has again published on the social network the message of the scandalous influencer Andrew Tate, accused in Romania, the BBC reports.

Tate’s message, posted by Alex Jones, praised both Jones and X owner Elon Musk, saying, “We’re back,” according to News.ro.

Jones’ account was reinstated following a poll conducted by Musk in which 70% of the roughly two million respondents voted to lift the ban.

Jones is known for falsely claiming that the 2012 Sandy Hook school shooting was staged.

He was ordered to pay $1.5 billion to the victims’ families after the courts found that he had caused them harassment and death threats through his false statements.

Jones, who founded the conspiracy theory site Infowars, has been removed from other major platforms, including YouTube and Facebook.

Andrew Tate, who was also previously banned from the site before his account was reinstated last year, is a self-proclaimed misogynist on trial in Romania on charges of rape, human trafficking and forming a criminal group organized to sexually exploit women. something he denies.

He also defended Jones in a social media post on Saturday, calling him a “hero.”

Elon Musk bought X in October 2022 and initially rejected calls from some of Jones’ supporters to reinstate his account.
