Dodge is taking advantage of its latest Christmas advert to give us an insight into a new generation Dodge Charger, which officially appears for the first time in the form of an illustration. A visual of the car appears very briefly in this spot called “Think Twice” (Think twice), in a book called “Santa’s list of naughty grandfathers” (Santa’s naughty list).

We’re unveiling the next-generation Dodge Charger in red, reminiscent of last year’s Dodge Charger Daytona SRT concept. Dodge seems to want to draw inspiration from the first opus released back in 1966, with a sculpted front end, hood bumps, and muscle lines which extend to the rear of the vehicle.

Dodge Charger: Goodbye V8!

However, there are some differences compared to the Daytona SRT concept, such as more classic round headlights instead of the light frame of the electric concept car. There are also larger side mirrors, a less aggressive front bumper, and a sculpted hood. The rear is still a mystery, and we don’t yet know if the model will be a two-door coupe or a four-door sedan.

Dodge hasn’t revealed more details about its upcoming sports car, but we already know that it is will no longer have a V8 engine. Indeed, we must find something new under its hood Stellantis Hurricane in-line six-cylinder enginewhich is developing from 400 to 500 horsepower depending on the version. Version with a 100% electric motorization must also be in the program.

See you at the end of 2024

For lovers muscle carsthe upcoming Dodge Charger should also offer even more powerful versions, likely badged SRT or Hellcat… But no information on this topic has been filtered yet.

In the Dodge video, the American manufacturer clarifies that the model shown in the illustration is still at the stage of preparation for production. The future production of the Dodge Charger will be launched the end of 2024. Therefore, it should be fully disclosed in the coming months.
