IT scientists working in PFA will automatically migrate to the live system from 1 January 2024. Practically, they no longer have an income norm, according to the order of the Ministry of Finance, published in the Official Gazette.
As a reminder, many companies in the field of information technology have collaborated with various IT scientists (PFAs) in the development of software. The problem is that they told them to work on the consultant’s CAEN code to meet the income norm. Thus, after a few years, ANAF came to check on IT-sti and asked them why they were working like that.
They calculated their final amounts and billed them, even though they said the company told them to do it that way.
“They had two CAEN codes with which they “fooled” the state. They said they were doing information technology consulting, code 6202. That was the norm, but they were actually programming, software, a code that’s under CAEN code 6201, which is ONLY for the actual system,” explained tax consultant Cornel Grama. .
From 2024, they will be only in the real system.
