The general mayor of the capital Nikusor Dan states that at the moment, in 10% of apartments in Bucharest, the heating agent is not supplied with the appropriate parameters or is not supplied at all due to breakdowns, reports Agerpres.
On the other hand, he notes that the outages have occurred amid severe weather deterioration in recent days, and that the system is being calibrated.
“I think it’s going to get better. These things happen. We had our first sharp deterioration in weather six, seven, eight days ago, and until the system calibrates, this type of damage occurs. I’m optimistic that things will get better. Last in winter, in February, when it was the coldest month, it was really good in Bucharest,” he told TVR Info.
Genmer also said the current damage will be fixed by Friday afternoon.
“We have had cold weather for 7-8 days. The weekend was very good. Basically almost 100%. We had a breakdown at the beginning of the week, we had a breakdown yesterday morning. At the beginning of the week there was a breakdown. The week was fixed. It was a main network, we had 40% of the flats affected in the first stage. Now this is a breakdown that will be fixed tonight. I was promised that it will be fixed at 11pm, the next, for example, tomorrow until midday to gradually load the hot water.” – he said.
Nikusor Dan also indicated that rehabilitation projects are aimed at areas with the most damage, but the risk of problems in other areas is not excluded. According to his estimates, 45-50 kilometers of heating networks will be restored by the end of this year.
“Breakdowns are inevitable, all in order to have fewer of them and to be able to intervene in time. Problems on the trunk network, from CET to heating points. (…) We have 1,000 networks. kilometers and out of this thousand kilometers: 150 kilometers – younger than 10 years, 50 – younger than 20 years, another 50 – younger than 30 years, and the rest – a pity,” he emphasized.
