Toyota FT-Se concept: a coupe with a very sporty look

THE aerodynamic characteristics of the engineless vehicle for the concept seems to have been

engineers. Large air intakes on the shields allow cooling future batteries or the engine on the front axle. Then the air will come out from the base of the windshield.

Part air flow will also go through the holes under the headlights and only seems to flow at the level of the rocker panels. Another opening is visible on the rear axle in the form of a side fin that unfolds.

Air coming through this hole will cool the brakes or battery/motor units. Finally, a rather impressive deployable spoiler rises when the car is launched.

Toyota FT-Se concept: futuristic interior

The FT-Se concept is sporty on the outside, but also on the inside. THE bucket seats, made with a carbon fiber structure, designed to provide a driving experience. The cockpit feel is authentic with a very slim dashboard, a rectangular steering wheel and two small screens on each side, as well as an instrument cluster behind the steering wheel. In addition, the instrument panel in a low position optimizes the driver’s field of vision on the road and/or track.

Finally, Toyota lights up the side safe for the environment, with the use of recycled and flexible materials on the door panels, for example, and the center console. These materials have been chosen to provide optimal comfort, especially on the track, where the knees are supported without pain.

Toyota FT-Se concept: “Sports electric Toyota of the future”

But really why? FT-Se ? As a reminder, Toyota has only one 100% electric model in its current catalog bZ4X. With this concept, the Japanese manufacturer projects itself into the era 100% electric sportiness, which is still in its infancy.

In the near future, we can imagine this upcoming electric coupe joining the lineup Toyota GR, and compete with future very badass electric coupes: MG Cyberster, Caterham Project V, Tesla Roadster and even the future Alpine A110 is 100% electricwhich is expected by 2026.
