President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi said in his video message on Sunday evening that everyone should remember that the struggle for the fate of Ukraine continues and that Ukrainians need support every day, writes News.ro.
“Today, the Russian invaders hit Kherson again. Heavy shelling, directly on the city… Houses, streets, our hospitals. The death of two people is reported, condolences to relatives and friends. Necessary assistance was provided to all victims. In general, only on this day and only in the Kherson region, more than 20 Russian explosions took place – similar to those in Kherson, of a purely terrorist nature. In the city of Beryslav and in the villages of the region. I would like to express my gratitude to all the rescuers of the State Emergency Service, the personnel of the National Police, who are working to eliminate the consequences of the explosions. I am grateful to all the doctors and nurses who provide assistance. I am grateful to local authorities and volunteers who do not abandon their cities and communities to their own devices,” said Zelenskyi.
According to the Kyiv leader, intense fighting is taking place in dozens of areas along the entire front line. “It is most intense in the area of Maryinka, Avdiyivka and Bakhmut. However, it is also difficult in the south and in the Kharkiv region. And every city in Ukraine, where today was a relatively calm day… All those who are now behind, who can afford to spend time at home. Everyone should remember that the struggle for the fate of Ukraine continues. Not in social networks, not in political disputes, not in arguments. In this battle, Ukrainians need support every day. Concrete things that strengthen Ukraine. What adds strength to our positions, our state. Things that allow us to respond to enemy attacks with our actions. Active actions. Brave actions.”
The President of Ukraine thanked “everyone who does not forget that the frontline needs support every day.” “I thank everyone who works for their unwavering, constant, real support. I thank everyone who understands how important it is for our people on the frontline and temporarily occupied territories to feel that Ukraine remembers them. That Ukraine remembers and will not abandon them to the enemy. I thank those who do not lose heart and do not waste their precious energy on arguments. To those who work for national interests. To those who treat and save lives. To those who raise children and really care about the interests of their communities. To those who make weapons and ammunition for our soldiers. Those who organize voluntary fundraisers and, against all odds, provide assistance to specific units. I am grateful to everyone who trains our military, both here in Ukraine and in partner countries. Each such training mission is a tangible contribution to the future victory. Inevitably. If you don’t just believe in it, don’t just wait for the victory of the warriors, but do everything in your power every day so that Ukraine becomes stronger and our joint opportunities grow.”
“We are already preparing for next week and will certainly expand the capabilities of our state. In particular, our defense industry. We are preparing new military support packages from our partners. Strengthening our air defenses, which is an ongoing priority, is also ongoing. We will certainly respond to the occupiers’ terror against our people. We always do it,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy added.
We are already preparing for the next week, which will undoubtedly strengthen our country, especially the potential of the military-industrial complex.
