The car is still necessary
Therefore, we understand that the car is still important to most motorists, especially those who live outside the city limits big cities. This is also confirmed by the latest Alphabet-Ifop barometer, which has just been published. The latter, without much surprise, tells us that the car occupies an important place in the life of the French. And it is not for nothing that 75% of employees use the latter as part of their trips home to work. The proportion has increased by three points compared to 2019, which may seem surprising.
Warm again and again
Despite the fact that electric cars are becoming more and more popular, 90% of respondents still use them gasoline or diesel car, while 57% do not feel ready to switch to electricity. In particular, the lack of charging stations or charging times that are too long, not to mention that the autonomy is considered too low. However, the numbers vary by region, as car use is still lower in big cities than in more rural areas.
