Also, the tricolor breeder noted that he feels great joy from the fact that the Romanian anthem will be played at the final tournament of Euro-2024, where our country has qualified.

“I was born and raised in a family where Romania is not just a word or a country. And I had the honor to train as a professional with my father, who with his work in football, as a player and then as a coach, represented Romania with honor and brought joy to many generations of Romanians.

All the more responsibility for me, but also pride to be the selector of our national team! The joy is even greater now, after almost two years of activity with our wonderful tricolors, that Romania is back where it belongs in the big competitions.

I am convinced that the unity we have built at the level of the national team will serve as an example, and the celebration of the selection for EURO 2024 has united Romanians again around the tricolor flag and the Romanian spirit. After all, this is the essence of football, but also the greatest achievement that now goes beyond the stadium.

I am proud to be Romanian and that together we will enjoy the European Championship, where our national anthem will once again be heard in the big arenas!

I thank all of you, Romanians from the country and from all over the world, for your energy, commitment and trust. I felt them every day, together with the tricolors, and when it was better and when it was harder, throughout this journey of work and sacrifice. A new challenge is ahead, but together we proved that everything is possible!

Happy Birthday Romanians! Happy Birthday Romania!” – Edi Jordanescu.
