That’s all new Dacia Duster visible in broad daylight. After two generations, the flagship SUV Romanian manufacturer is renewed

that’s a the first face to face with the old version, from all sides!

From the front, the differences between the two generations are noticeable. The headlights have become more sophisticated, the horizontal grille is thinner, and the lights are now fully LED. We also notice fog lights that are directly integrated into the shield, and finally, as in the Bigster concept, there are two air intakes.

The profile is interesting to decipher. The waist line was raised to line up with the hood. The glass surface is slightly reduced in the interest of safety: the door is better protected than before. The front is much more vertical and the edges are very straight. No more bends!

We note the appearance of this new material, in Starkle®, which is present throughout the lower part of the Duster. This plastic, made from 20% recycled materials, is present on the wheel arches, front bumper triangles, rocker panels and rear bumper skirt.

The rear quarter of the window is now integrated into the windows and the handle is hidden in the window frame. It’s subtle and adds presence to the Duster!

Finally, the rear end is more “sliced” than the old Duster, which exhibits a more rounded bracket. Rims can range from 16 to 18 inches depending on trim.

3/4 is undoubtedly the most flattering angle for this new Duster. With this more modern front end, this ribbed hood and its vertical lines, the Dacia SUV appears in the best light!

But Dacia does not forget about the design that gives its Duster its full charm: we inevitably see the curve of the body at the back, as well as the plastic rack behind the front wheel.

At the rear, the biggest change is the introduction of new lights, now in a “Y” shape. They even protrude from both sides, and the branches of the letter Y can be seen from the profile of the Duster.

Trunk volume increases by 6%. In the Duster 4×2 version, the maximum available load is 472 liters. The load threshold was also negligible humiliated, and discovery is both above but also wider.

The interior of the new Duster is making clear progress! If plastic is ubiquitous, it’s textured and, above all, the build feels very right. There is before and after”!
