
​Health Minister Alexandru Rafila said on Monday, regarding the dossier on the procurement of vaccines during the pandemic, that in total Romania has established contractual obligations for 80 million doses of the vaccine against COVID-19 and has taken 35 million doses worth 2.5 billion. lei, of which 10 million doses are expired and destroyed or are in the process of being destroyed.
“In total, Romania concluded contracts, established contractual obligations for 80 million doses, we took 35 million worth 2.5 billion lei, of the 35 million that were taken, 10 million have expired, they have been destroyed or are in the process of being destroyed,” – said the Minister of Health, quoted by News.ro.
When asked whether he has anything to reproach the people who took care of this, Rafila said: “I have nothing to reproach anyone, we are only fulfilling our duty, we provide the criminal investigation authorities with all the documents that are in the ministry. Health”.
“I believe that any comments before the completion of the criminal investigation are unnecessary,” Alexandru Rafila added.
Last Thursday, DNA appealed to the Senate and the President to lift the immunity of former Prime Minister Florin Kitsu and former Health Ministers Vlad Voiculescu and Ioana Mihaile.
