In the first match of the day, Miomir Kecsmanovic beat Lorenzo Musetti in three sets with a score of 6(7)-7, 6-2, 6-1.

Yannick Sinner resumed his bid for a place in the Davis Cup final with a stunning late victory over Novak Djokovic in a match that finished in two hours and 35 minutes.

The Italian, ranked No. 4 in the ATP rankings, won the first set 6-2, but the world number one stormed back to win the second set, 6-2.

In the decider, the fight was crazy and when Nole was close to victory, Sinner managed to save 3 match points in a row (at 4-5 and 0-40).

It was a psychological moment of the match, the Italian ultimately prevailed and left the fate of qualification to the doubles dispute.
