According to Israeli media, Benjamin Netanyahu began his evening conference on Wednesday by confirming that the hostage and cease-fire agreement will be implemented from Thursday morning.
The Prime Minister says that since the beginning of the war, he has not stopped thinking about the hostages and their families – and says that they will all be returned home.
The four-day truce was achieved through massive military pressure on Hamas and diplomatic efforts by the Israeli government, he says.
The deal involves the Red Cross visiting the hostages and delivering medicine to them, Netanyahu says.
Netanyahu says that during the ceasefire, the Israeli armed forces will prepare to continue the war.
“The war continues,” the prime minister repeated twice.
“We are winning and will continue the fight until we achieve absolute victory,” he added.
