According to Kilowat, beneficiaries of the Casa Verde program lost €12 million in the two months the program was blocked, with consumers unable to install solar panels in time to avoid worrying about their electricity bills this winter. and consulting companies.
According to Kilowat’s calculations, the 87,000 beneficiaries of the Casa Verde program stand to lose 6 million euros every month until the photovoltaic panels are installed to relieve them of their electricity bills.
“And the beneficiaries will continue to pay this amount every month until they have installed the photovoltaic panels to provide the necessary energy to the households. Romanians want to get rid of this financial burden, stop worrying about electricity bills and therefore benefit from the benefits of PV systems as soon as possible, especially since they were shocked and disappointed by the suspension of this program,” says Albert. Soare, founder of Kilowat, according to a company statement.
Company representatives explained that to analyze the financial consequences of blocking the Casa Verde program, they took into account the number of beneficiaries (87 thousand) in relation to the average monthly production of 500 kW of the 5 kW system and the average price per kilowatt for consumer households (0.7 lei). resulting in monthly losses of €6.08 million.
Panel suppliers are stuck with their inventory
The blocking of the Casa Verde program also negatively affected business in the market, with significant losses, blocking of funds in the PV panel stock for the beneficiaries and additional unforeseen expenses to compensate for the losses.
At the same time, the company “Kilowatt” appealed to the state authorities to unblock the Green House program, given that the beneficiaries were waiting for the installation of solar panels as soon as possible.
Among Romanians, regardless of whether they are beneficiaries of the Green House program or not, there is a growing interest in getting rid of electricity bills, especially since the amortization of investments in solar panels can be recouped in 2-4 years, company representatives also say.
“The suspension of the Casa Verde Photovoltaic program, while it lasted, had a negative impact on businesses in the industry and on the entire market, but especially on the final beneficiaries, Romanians are “completely disappointed” by the blocking of the program. and “distrustful” of its restoration.
Romanians had hoped to install photovoltaic panels this winter and thus get rid of the worry about electricity bills, but instead there were great fears about the possible resumption of the procedure for registering installers in the Casa Verde program, an aspect that would further delay the whole process,” the report said.
