“The accused acted according to a clearly developed plan and there is evidence that soon after committing the acts they would leave the country,” the cited document also states.
The victim’s daughter hid in the closet and called 112. The perpetrators approached her and threatened her with a gun
Alarmed by the noise on the first floor, the businessman’s daughter, who was in the bedroom on the first floor of the house, came out to see what was happening, seeing one of the attackers on the first floor, who had a hood on his head. head, at the same time also noticed by the attacker.
- “The victim returned to the bedroom and locked the door, armed himself with a knife and hid in the dressing room, from where he called 112.
- Two of the three assailants went upstairs and broke down the bedroom door before entering the dressing room, with the victim stating that “they hit me on the arm, causing my phone and knife to fall,” the indictment also states.
- “A tall man was sitting to the left of the dressing room and said nothing, but a shorter man who had brown or green eyes came up to me, aggressively asked me in English where the money was, and when I said he, who I do not know, kicked me and started beating me, lifted me off the ground, threatened me with a gun to my temple, constantly asking where the money was.
- I said I didn’t know, but I could give him my money out of my bag. After she gave them the money she had in her wallet (€40 and about 100 lei), one of the attackers again threatened her with a gun, which he loaded and held to her head, asking again where the money was.
- During this time, the second intruder, having noticed several valuable watches in plain view in the dressing room, took them and put them in a bag, also rummaging in the drawers of the bedroom. Before going to the first floor of the house, the armed intruder told the victim that he was going to kill his father and left the room, going downstairs,” the prosecutor’s office said.
“High degree of danger”
The prosecutors draw attention to the fact that “the nature of the facts of aggravated murder and aggravated robbery and the specific method of their commission, which was set out earlier, together with the criminal background of the accused and the fact that they evaded criminal charges, are sufficient elements to balance the deprivation the accused have signs of full physical freedom, and the available evidence in the materials is sufficient to eliminate the risk of an arbitrary decision in the case.”
Prosecutors assess that the three men “show an obvious anti-social attitude, a high degree of danger, as well as a complete disregard for social relations, the protection of which is required by the criminalization of the crime of murder, and it can be estimated that in the future, their behavior will keep you on a path with negative social valences”.
“Also, it should be taken into account that the investigation of the accused in a state other than pre-trial detention can cause a negative public resonance in public opinion, therefore, in such situations, it is necessary for judicial authorities to take prompt and effective measures to restore confidence in collective security “, prosecutors also sent, News.ro reports.
