Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati Lenovo) finished second and is very close to his second consecutive world title after rival Jorge Martin (Pramac Racing) finished only tenth.
Another Italian completed the podium: Luca Marini (Mooney VR46).
Pramac Racing became the first independent team to win the overall team classification.
