On Friday, Murat Yakin announced the group of players with whom he will play matches against Israel, Kosovo and Romania in the framework of the Euro 2024 preliminary tournament.
>> The most prepared tricolors will not play in the decisive double with Israel and Switzerland at the qualifying stage of Euro-2024
We are talking about five new players compared to the team used by the Swiss coach in October of this year.
The likes of Nico Elvedi (Borussia Monchengladbach), Noah Okafor (Milan) and Ruben Vargas (FC Augsburg) returned to the first team, all of them injured.
Switzerland will have a busy schedule: on November 15, they will play Israel (the match is considered an away match, it will be held in Hungary’s Felchut), Kosovo in Basel (November 18) and Romania at the National Arena (November 21).
“We want to get to EURO 2024 and we know that we can finish first in the group on our own. Each player and the entire staff must work at the maximum level. I am firmly convinced that everything will work out for us”, – Murat Yakin.
