Google search data showed another spike earlier in the week when eMAG announced plans and when the campaign also launched at Fashion Days. Interest in BF increased greatly on Thursday, when the most searched term in Romania was “eMAG Black Friday”.
Black Friday 2023 will come at the end of a tumultuous year, one with many price hikes and controversies. However, retailers expect better sales on Black Friday than in 2022, even though the logic is that Romanians should be more frugal after a year of reduced purchasing power.
Most people don’t even want to hear about Black Friday, but many will, and this year clothing will make up a large proportion of the total, in addition to the traditional appliances, phones and televisions.
Card payments will increase, more people will buy in installments, and there will be many who will buy personal care products in large quantities to use in the coming months.
eMAG Black Friday 2023
eMAG decided to hold Black Friday on November 10, the earliest in the 12-year history of this “phenomenon”. The company promises average discounts of 35-40%, maximum discounts of 70% and minimum discounts of 5-10%.
eMAG promises 3 million products, and the total amount of discounts is about 400 million lei. The company says that 40,000-50,000 ordered goods will arrive at easybox during Friday. eMAG promises that all items will be at the lowest price in the last 30 days, and 71% of the offers will be at the best price of 2023.
In eMAG, Black Friday started earlier than in other years, at 7.15. eMAG does not inform about the starting time of the discounts. According to eMAG estimates, 680 million lei will be sold on Black Friday, which is 36 million more than last year. 80,000 TVs, 300,000 small household appliances, 80,000 laptops and 250,000 smartphones and accessories will be offered.
Altex and Media Galaxy Black Friday 2023
Altex and Media Galaxy announced that Black Friday will have three waves: the first has passed (November 2-8), the second is ongoing (November 9-15), and the third will take place from November 16 to 22.
Discounts promised by Black Friday can reach up to 50% on drinks, products for children and kitchens. Laptops, phones, tablets and smartwatches will be up to 30% off, along with items from the gaming, furniture and DIY categories. Prices will be reduced by up to 40% in the categories of beauty, cleaning, small and large household appliances, as well as electric vehicles, sports and travel. There will be a discount of up to 20% on televisions and audio-video products.
There are 125 “Altex” and “Media Galaxy” stores in the country.
Black Friday Flanco 2023
Flanco started Black Friday on October 27th and will end the campaign on November 30th. During the campaign, the retailer promises to regularly update the warehouse stocks and add new products to the offer. “Smartphones from 299 lei, TVs with a diagonal of 81 cm from 399 lei, robot vacuum cleaners from 599 lei, laptops and washing machines from 899 lei will be available on physical and virtual shelves,” the company says.
Flanco has 159 stores across the country.
Black Friday Fashion Days 2023
Fashion Days kicked off Black Friday morning on November 6th and will continue the campaign until November 12th. The company promises discounts on more than 2 million products from more than 700 brands. The value of available stocks reaches 280 million lei.
According to Fashion Days estimates, the average cost of a “shopping basket” on Black Friday 2023 will be 495 lei, which is 35 lei more than in 2022. In addition, the average price of the product is 235 lei, which is 10 lei more than in 2022. .
In the first three hours of the Black Friday campaign, the company delivered 65,000 orders with a total of 160,000 products.
Black Friday EvoMAG 2023
EvoMAG is holding Black Friday 2023 from October 27 to November 27 in four “waves” of sales. As in past years, each new wave of Black Friday sales includes different items that weren’t previously discounted, the company says.
The company promises to have 330,000 products in the discount campaign, which is twice as many as in 2022. The biggest discounts promised are 75%.
The third “episode” of cuts is now underway, from November 10 to 12. evoMAG estimates that more than 90% of products ordered will be delivered within a maximum of seven days after the end of each discount episode.
After the first week of discounts, EvoMAG announced that Black Friday interest has doubled compared to last year.
elefant.ro Black Friday 2023
Elefant.ro started the campaign on November 3rd and will end it on November 13th. There will also be more than 50% discounts on books, toys, perfumes, watches, fashion accessories and handmade products.
PC Garage Black Friday 2023
On November 10 at 00:00, PC Garage will start the “Black Friday Gaming” promotion. The company promises to offer 3,500 gaming laptops, 800 gaming systems, 9,000 components and 6,000 peripherals. Discounts on “star” products start from 10-15% and can reach 40-45%.
Maximum discounts of 40-45% apply to gaming chairs and headphones.
