Like almost all manufacturers, Alfa Romeo will soon have to completely transform to offer only electric cars. Indeed, we remember that the European Union plans to ban the sale of thermal vehicles on its territory from 2035, despite the opposition of several countries. If some brands are already ready, this is not the case for the Italian company. And it is not for nothing that there is not a single electric car in the catalog of the latter, except for the very exclusive 33 Stradale. But the company is actively working to change that.

A large electric SUV
And it is not for nothing that the Italian company is currently working on it development of several electric SUVs, including a compact that would effectively be a cousin of the 600e. But that’s not all, as a larger model is also said to be in the works. And the least we can say is that Alfa Romeo has big ambitions with the latter, as the manufacturer wants to hunt on the ground Porsche Cayenne, BMW iX and other Lotus Eletre, among others. Thus, it will be a sports model, although at the moment we do not know all its technical characteristics.
What do we already know?
At the moment, the manufacturer does not provide any information on this matter. It doesn’t really give any information, it just confirms that this newbie will be based on The STLA platform developed by the Stellantis group. The car will also sit lower than most SUVs to optimize energy efficiency. On the other hand, we still don’t know what will be hiding under its hood, but we do know that this technical base can carry up to three electric motors.
