
Last May, FebiacBelgian and Luxembourg Automobile and Cycling Federation, announced that it will not hold its traditional auto show in January 2024. The fault car manufacturers (in this case Stellantis and Volkswagen) who are increasingly leaving these events. Then a new organizer stepped in to organize the Brussels Motor Show, a private event details on this are coming in slowly. While waiting to learn more, we know that Febiac is not giving up entirely on organizing an event around cars. In other words, there should be two events in one: a kind of car show (despite the lack of them) and another, more official one, which will be organized by Febiac.. A show for professionals
“When we decided not to organize the Brussels Motor Show in January 2024, our board of directors asked us think about organizing an event which will allow us to maintain the image of the automotive industry among our main stakeholders โ clients (professionals), mass media, but also political decision-makers โ during the first quarter of 2024,โ explains Andreas Kremer, Managing Director of FEBIAC. At Brussels airport
specifically, Automotive eMotion Summit will open in the Skyhall of Brussels Airport next Tuesday, February 20 through a day of conferences, keynotes, institutional presentations and debates around the theme “The automotive industry that stands the test of time”. From Wednesday, February 21 exhibitors will welcome professional customers, fleet managers, representatives of small and medium-sized businesses or independent individuals, as well as other players in the B2B world. “Our concept is now being finalized and is the result of extensive consultation with our vehicle importer members,” explains Michel Martens, director of the Febiac Knowledge Center. “Many of them want to maintain the traditional momentum at the beginning of the year and want to present their products and technologies as part of the Automotive eMotion Summit: Shaping Policies & Fleet Innovations. ยป
