
The authorities of the National Authority for the Protection of Consumer Rights (ANPC) temporarily closed the Gilda Music Lounge in Bucharest after discovering several violations, including dirt, food without identification elements and expired raw materials. The restaurant was also fined 25,000 lei, News.ro reports.
Representatives of the National Authority for Consumer Protection (ANPC) announced in a press release on Tuesday that representatives of the Bucharest-Ilfov Regional Commission for the Protection of Consumer Rights (CRPCR) conducted an inspection at the end of last week. event at Gilda Music Lounge, from the Old Center of the capital, under the management of SC Gilda Events SRL (Lipskani St., No. 53).
“Art in the Rhapsody theater has become culinary, because the artists are cooking in the midst of food and the strong smell of food. To feel “prepared” is the dream of every dancer or actor, only here it is not about clothes. We have turned everything into a chulam, and behind it are not skilled cooks, but snorers,” said ANPC President Horia Constantinescu.
What violations were found by the commissioners for the protection of consumer rights at Gilda Music Lounge
According to the results of the control of the ANPC group, a number of deviations were found: the use of raw materials exceeding the minimum shelf life; changing the thermal state of products in an unauthorized way (slow freezing); consumption of food products without identification elements; use of unhygienic refrigeration units; unsatisfactory hygienic and sanitary condition: floor, walls and ceiling with damaged and unhygienic areas.
In addition, other violations were: use of inappropriate storage facilities; using an ice maker with rusty and non-disinfected areas; use of wire sponges for disinfection of dishes and kitchen utensils; use of dishes and kitchen utensils with an increased degree of wear; using containers for storing household waste without providing protective covers.
ANPC officials fined the unit 25,000 lei, decided to finally stop and remove defective products from human consumption. They also decided to temporarily stop providing services until the identified deficiencies are eliminated. A proposal to permanently close the unit will also be made.
“Taking into account that the warehouse premises of the restaurant are adjacent to the working premises of the “Rhapsody” theater (dressing rooms, rehearsal rooms, a classroom), in the building of which the “Gilda Music Lounge” operates, and that at the time of the inspection, there were groups of children during the rehearsals, the inspection continue in the theater as well”, – said the representatives of the ANPK.
