FC Voluntari defeated the University of Cluj at home with a score of 2:1 in the 15th stage of the Super League. Although the guests conceded within an hour, they could break away in overtime.

Ioan Ovidiu Sabau’s side opened the scoring in just the 12th minute when Janis Stojka fired into the far corner after a pass was received offside.

FC Voluntari equalized in the 31st minute through Adam Nemec after a pass in the box from Vadym Ratse.

A wonderful counterattack gave the guests an advantage in the 61st minute, Andrey Dumiter managed to score after a combination with Doru Andrey.

Six minutes later, Ilfoven remained behind, Nikolay Karnat received two yellow cards within two minutes.

With an extra man, the University pressed, but could not find an equalizing goal.

Moreover, in overtime, Dumiter missed from 11 meters after a careless intervention by goalkeeper Iliev.

FC Voluntari has 16 points and is currently out of the playoffs, while Cluj University remains in 9th place with 19 points.
