
The National Weather Service has issued a high wind code yellow for 26 counties from 10 a.m. Sunday until 2 a.m. Monday.
The wind will increase during the day in Banat, Krishan, in the west and north-west of Transylvania and in mountainous areas at a speed of 55…70 km/h, and in the evening and at night especially in the Eastern Carpathians.
At heights above 1,700 m, gusts will exceed 90…100 km/h.
Counties fully covered by the ANM warning: Alba, Arad, Bihor, Caraş Severin, Cluj, Hunedoara, Satu Mare, Salaj and Timișoara, and partially: Arges, Bacău, Bistrita Neseud, Braşov, Buzău, Covasna, Dambovitsa, Gorge, Harghita, Maramures, Mures, Neamts, Prahova, Sibiu, Suceava, Vilca and Vranca.
Also, in the eastern and southeastern regions, a temporary strengthening of the wind will be observed, in general, the speed will be 45…50 km/h, meteorologists note.
In the Carpathian regions, there will be showers in places, individual amounts of water will exceed 15…20 l/m2.
