
At huge railway construction sites in the west of the country, a new version of the route is being completed, and work is also underway on the infrastructure of three railway stations in the Hunedoara district. Special traffic conditions will apply from November 5 to 20, long-distance trains will not run between Arad and Cimmeria, and car transfers will be provided for Regio trains.
CFR SA informs that in the period from November 5 to 20, 2023, works will be carried out on the section km 614 – Byarzava to complete the new version of the route Milova – Byarzava. Milova is located 44 km from Arad, and between Milova and Barzava – 17 km.
On the CF Mintia – Branișca – Ilia section, connected to the Simeria – Gurasada section, works are ongoing on the railway superstructure/infrastructure at 3 CF stations and on the relocation of electrical lines in the areas adjacent to the railway, execution stages that require a complete suspension of the railway traffic at appropriate intervals and taking special traffic measures necessary to ensure uninterrupted railway passenger transportation.
Iliya is located 24 km from Deva and 125 km from Arad. It is 17 km from Ilia to Mintia, and 7 km from Mintia to Deva.
What CFR SA says
In the period from November 5 to 20, 2023, the developer will carry out work on the completion of the new version of the Milova – Byarzava route, part of the subdivision 2a Km 614 – Byarzava, which consists in the reconfiguration of the contact line from the Milova station for access to line I, to lines 1 and 2 from station, on the current line (Wire I) towards Radna, including the reconfiguration of the signaling system.
After the completion of the reconfiguration of the contact line and the signaling system on the new railway route Burzava – Milova, the speed of trains will increase to 120 km/h, and after the completion of signaling tests, passenger trains will move at a maximum speed of 160 km/h.
Also during this period, phases of work on the rail/road crossings that cross the lines from Mintya station will be completed, as well as the installation of sound-absorbing panels at Mintya, Braniska and Iliya stations and the relocation of electrical lines. in the areas parallel to the railway on the section Mintia – Braniska – Ilia, connected with the Simeria – Gurasada section.
