Starting with a vision to protect and beautify the world, paint manufacturer PPG Romania installed 900 state-of-the-art solar panels on the roof of its factory in 2023. They have an area of ​​4000 m2, which resembles the area of ​​three Olympic swimming pools.

The solar panels now produce 35% of the plant’s average annual electricity consumption, which is comparable to the consumption of 200 households.

Reducing CO2 emissions is one of PPG Romania’s most important goals, and thanks to this project, CO2 emissions have been reduced by 220 tons per year, which is equivalent to the emissions of 90 cars in motion.

Taking care of the environment, PPG Romania continues to introduce the latest technologies in the market, aware of the fact that if you “protect nature now, you will be satisfied later”.
