Novak Djokovic pays all the bills to Hamad Medjedovic, 20, ATP No. 107
Currently ranked 107th in the ATP rankings, Hamad Medvedovic talks about his compatriot Novak Djokovic and presents a lesser-known aspect.
The 20-year-old (recent semi-finalist at the ATP 250 tournament in Astana) has more losses than wins this season (7-9), but hopes to go well next term.
Without high-level results, tennis is a difficult sport to practice, and the costs are very high. Medzhedovych knows this first hand, and he says who his sponsor is: Novak Djokovic.
“Novak Djokovic helped me financially. He gave me everything I needed for my career, covered everything (no expense spared). He just helped me when I needed it and continues to help me in every way. I’m glad he’s with me,” Hamad Medzhedovych.

Hamad won the Mallorca Challenger Tour (Rafa Nadal Open) this September, and after the final he was delighted to discover that one of the congratulatory messages he received was from Novak Djokovic.
“Would you believe who was the first to congratulate me with the title – Novak. When I picked up the phone, I saw his voicemail that lasted over a minute. He is a legend, he is always available for advice,” added Hamad.
“I didn’t spend money, and believe me, it’s not a small amount in the world of tennis, on the contrary.
Imagine the best player in the world calling my kid to train with him before the season. It’s like Messi or Ronaldo telling you, let’s play football or let me know if you need anything,” Hamad’s father Eldin said.
“Novak Djokovic pays all my bills, but I’ve lost more matches than he’s won,” Hamad Medvedovic.
Hamad Medžedović was born on July 18, 2003 in Novi Pazar, Serbia. He was 102nd in the world ranking, and now he is 107th. He is trained by Viktor Troitsky and has 7 wins and 9 losses this year. He collected $402,922 (in singles and doubles) from tennis prizes.
