More than 1.6 billion lei are needed to pay salaries

HotNews.ro’s analysis of various decisions and memoranda adopted by the government on Friday shows that more than 1.6 billion lei are needed to pay salaries, namely:

1. Ministry of the Interior: 960 million lei.

  • The amount of 395 million lei will be used for the payment of salary rights, and the amount of 565 million lei will be used for the payment of social rights

2. Ministry of Health: 168.3 million lei to ensure the payment of financial costs determined by wage increases and wage rights granted to staff in health care institutions.

3. Ministry of Education: 184 million lei. Funds are needed to raise the wages of pre-university education workers.

4. State Secretariat for Religious Affairs – 258 million lei for the payment of religious personnel belonging to religious cults.

5. Romanian Information Service (SRI) – 6.25 million lei in the form of commitments and budget credits.

  • The sums are intended for the payment of salary rights for the staff of the own health care network (Clinical Emergency Hospital “Prof. Dr. Agrippa Ionescu”) and the National Academy of Information “Mykhai Vityazul”, including insurance contributions for work, for the months of November-December 2023 year

6. The National Administration of Penitentiary Institutions – 58.1 million lei for November only:

  • The executive branch approved the addition of 100 million lei in the form of budget credits and commitment credits to the budget of the Ministry of Justice for the National Administration of Penitentiary Institutions.
  • From this amount, 99.7 million lei is allocated to cover the costs of personnel, goods and services, and the amount of 300 thousand lei is allocated to the costs of social assistance, related to the month of October with the final payment deadline in November.

7. Public radio – 17.5 million lei.

  • The budget of the Romanian Broadcasting Company for 2023 will be supplemented by an amount of 29 million lei. Of this amount, 17.5 million lei is allocated for personnel costs, 12 million lei for acquisition, transportation and broadcasting of SRR programs, utility costs, costs for renting studios in the country, costs for remuneration belonging to collective management bodies
