Draft normative act on amendments to GEO no. No. 67/2023 provides for the expansion of the list of agricultural and food products by the following products: minced meat, garlic, rice, tomato broth, cakes, margarine, yeast, cream and pears.

Another new measure introduced by this project concerns agricultural and food products that enter Romania in bulk and are not included in the processing/slaughter process. In their case, the rate of the commercial surcharge will be a maximum of 5% compared to the purchase price, to which are added the direct and indirect costs provided for by the order of the Minister of Public Finance no. No. 1826 dated 12/22/2003 on the approval of the Regulation on some measures for the organization and management of management accounting. Such products are: oil, sugar, flour, lard, pork, chicken, beef, if the amount of packaged product is more than 5 kg, respectively 5 liters.

Also, the draft regulation introduces some clarifications regarding the limitation of the settlement commission to 1% of the percentage that can be applied to merchants of units that issue dining, gift and social vouchers, including those issued through the Romania Support Program, regardless of the method of issue tickets, electronic or paper, and their type. According to the new provisions, the measure applies to all agricultural and food products that can be purchased with them, without being limited to the products listed in the annex to this emergency order.

We remind you that a temporary measure has been put in place to combat excessive price increases for some agricultural and food products by limiting for 90 days the commercial surcharges that are practiced in the processing, distribution and sale of some basic food products. determined a decrease in prices for these product categories
