A few weeks ago at the Munich Motor Show, you had the opportunity to familiarize yourself with the new generations of electric Mini and Mini Countryman in our columns.
After the high-profile presentations, it’s time to go through the marketing process of our two models, and to say the least is that Minis have never been so premium considering their prices.
Price Mini Electric
Let’s start with the smallest of the group, the electric Mini, a model produced in China, which therefore may well do without the environmental bonuses in France next year. At the moment, Mini offers a choice between two electric versions: the Mini Cooper E with a capacity of 184 hp. and Mini Cooper SE with a capacity of 218 hp. Prices start from 34,000 euroswithout taking into account the environmental bonus, for the first, a 38,000 euros for the second
The range consists of four trim levels (Essential, Classic, Favored and JCW) combined with packages (XS, S, M, L and XL). With the highest trim and the kit with the most options, the price can rise to more than €50,000. The average price of the model in France in general should be around 40,000 euros.
Mini Countryman price
Mini Countryman is already available for order, but only in the thermal version. An electric version will be launched later, no doubt so as not to destroy the sales of the BMW iX1, its technical cousin, which has just received the right to a new version.
Customers will have a choice between two versions: an entry-level 170 hp. and the JCW ALL4 version with a capacity of 300 hp. and four-wheel drive. Like the electric Mini, there are several trim levels (Essential, Classic, Favored and JCW) that can be paired with one of five personalization packages (XS, S, M, L and XL).
In terms of pricing, that’s a big gap. The basic version starts with 40,000 euros without the package, and can rise to €65,000 for the JCW version with all the options. To this, for the most powerful Countryman, a fine of around 13,000 euros will have to be added, and the bill will be dangerously close to 80,000 euros. The 170-horsepower version is relatively canned with a fine that does not exceed 500 euros.
