Holger Roon trains with Boris Becker

Rooney, 20, crashed out of the 2023 US Open in the first round, shortly after the Scandinavian player’s mother announced her divorce from coach Patrick Muratoglu.

They started working together shortly after Simona Halep was suspended for doping (a year ago).

After the Grand Slam in New York, Roone recorded three more matches: two losses and one victory.

On the downhill, Holger has been training with Boris Becker for the past few days. In fact, the Scandinavian posted a photo on his personal Instagram account in which he appears with the former German great champion.

Although nothing official has been announced at this time, Tennis365 journalists say that cooperation between the two parties will begin soon.

At the age of 55, Becker fruitfully collaborated with Novak Djokovic in 2013-2016.

Together with Boris Nole, he won 25 titles during this period. Of these, six were Grand Slam tournaments (Australian Open twice, Roland Garros once, Wimbledon twice and US Open once).

14 Masters (ATP 1000) titles and two Champions Tour trophies can also be added to this list.
