Imposing, but aerodynamic style
With a length of 5.16 meters and a width of 1.99 meters, the Lexus TX takes care of its aerodynamic performance, despite its significant design, which at first glance stands out with a very aggressive horizontal grille. The airflow is regulated efficiently, simultaneously cooling its brakes and reducing its drag coefficient value.
Inside the TX, there’s generous space that emphasizes technology, with a 7.0-inch multi-information instrument display as standard (12.3-inch optional), and 14-inch high-definition touch screen for a connected infotainment system compatible with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Each of 7 seats has been optimized for passenger comfort with increased accessibility. Many practical features have been provided, such as cup holders, an additional rear center console or even seven USB-C ports for charging mobile devices. The Lexus TX also has features Lexus+ 3.0 security systema collection of active safety features and practical features.
Lexus TX: three efficient engines
Like the RX and NX, the new Lexus TX is based on TNGA-K platformwhich ensures optimal weight distribution for improved dynamic performance. Three engines available under the hood.
Version TX350 is headed by 4-cylinder in-line turbocharged gasoline engine 2.4 liters, offering power 275 horsepower and is connected to an eight-speed Direct Shift automatic transmission, as well as four-wheel drive.
Version TX 500 hours is headed by gasoline hybrid engine combines a 2.4-liter turbocharged gasoline engine 366 horsepower to a six-speed automatic transmission, an integrated power control unit, and a Electric motor with a capacity of 103 horsepower on the rear axle.
Finally a version TX 550h+ it plug-in hybrid engine (PHEV), which combines a 3.5-liter V6 gasoline engine with two electric motors, offering a total of 404 horsepower. A large-capacity lithium-ion battery is located under the floor and provides 100% electric range of 53 km.
The Lexus TX is sold in North America starting at $55,050, or thereabouts 52,300 euros. Lexus has not confirmed the sale of its new SUV in the European market.
