Roger Federer says he doesn’t miss spectacular matches against Rafael Nadal

At the age of 42, Federer was last seen in a tennis match during the Shanghai Masters, an ATP 1000 event that ended on Sunday with a win over Hubert Gurkac.

Mr. Perfect couldn’t miss a meeting with reporters, and among other things, they asked him if he was missing matches with Rafael Nadal, his great rival.

Roger was as honest as possible and surprised both those present at the venue and some fans. The Swiss does not miss exciting matches with Rafa, he is rather happy that he no longer has to go through these physical and emotional “marathons”.

“Honestly, I didn’t think about it if I miss the game against Rafa. Not much, you know.

I think it’s more than just being happy that I don’t have to play, just happy that I’m not playing in one of those tough center court games against some of the stronger guys.

I had so many (there were no such moments) that I am glad that they are no more” – Roger Federerreports The Tennis Letter.

During his career, Federer and Nadal met 40 times in ATP tournaments, and the Iberian won 24 times. The other 16 matches ended with the victory of the Swiss.
