​The official website of the Romanian Football Federation reported on Saturday that coach Edi Iordenescu decided to release Luis Munteanu from the training camp of the first representative team.

The forward will be on his way to Romania’s Under-21 side, the Daniel Pancu-led side, who face Finland in Tuesday’s match in Sibiu (Euro 2025, preliminary matches).

We will remind that Luiz Munteanu (21 years old) made his debut in the Romanian team in a draw (0:0) in the game with Belarus. He was introduced on the field in the 77th minute.

“Head coach Edward Iordenescu, together with Daniel Pancu, has decided to keep Luis Muntiana in the U21 national team for the match against Finland scheduled for Tuesday in Sibiu,” FRF reported on its official website.
