Jessica Pegula and Marie Buzkova are the only seeded players to reach the quarterfinals of the WTA 250 in Seoul.

Jessica Pegula and Marie Buzkova, the only favorites, have qualified for the quarters at WTA Seoul

The main favorite of the competition from South Korea Pegula defeated Ashlyn Kruger (80 WTA) on Thursday with a score of 6-3, 6-1.

Also on Thursday, Mari Buzkova (4th favorite) took advantage of Eva Lis (119 WTA/Germany)’s refusal after the Czech won the first set 6-1.

Already out of the competition in Seoul: Yelena Ostapenko (2), Kateryna Alexandrova (3), Sofia Kenin (5), Alicia Parks (6), Aranta Rus (7) and Katie Boulter (8).
