“The department of large taxpayers generates almost half of the monthly revenue we collect through ANAF. We seek to decentralize the activities it carries out. There are 3,373 large taxpayers who bring in 15 billion lei every month,” Bolosh said.

  • “We want the activity to be much more efficient in terms of collecting state budget funds.”

He clarified that approximately 30 billion is the amount that the Ministry of Finance collects through ANAF every month. “This is our main income,” said the minister.

Bolosh also said that the Ministry is also reviewing the activities of the Risk Management Directorate “so that our inspections are not conducted many times without results, but to better focus on the correlation between the fiscal inspection and the risk indicators that are more chosen by those who look at tax evasion.” .

Other restructuring activities are aimed at high net worth.

“Here we are talking about individuals. Increasing the effectiveness of ANAF activities. We also have a digitization part in this area,” he said, noting that he hoped that this ANAF institutional capacity building package would be released in 30 days.

According to him, The Ministry is also considering the draft law “as a supplement to the measures to combat tax evasion”, through which we aim for the problems related to the instrumentalization of large cases of tax evasion to be carried out by the competent authorities of the state and to increase the penalties.
