Koko, the race’s third favorite from China, took one hour and 19 minutes to beat the Greek athlete 6-2, 6-4.
This is Gauff’s 16th consecutive victory on the world circuit.

- Coco’s last loss came in the WTA Toronto quarterfinals, where she lost to Jessica Pegula (doubles partner). Since then, Gauff has won titles in Cincinnati (WTA 1000) and the US Open (Grand Slam).
- In the semifinals, Koko Gauf will fight with Iga Svyatek. The ex-WTA leader leads with a score of 7-1, but in the last meeting the American won: 7-6(2), 3-6, 6-4 in Cincinnati.
