Although the Opel Astra was already introduced a few months ago and is already sold in GSe versions with a thermal and hybrid engine, there are still no prices for the 100% electric version in France. A variation that, like its technical cousin the Peugeot 308, is long overdue.

As a reminder, the Opel Astra Electric has an engine from 156 hpand the battery 54 kW/hthe well-known Stellantis power unit, as it equips almost all electric vehicles of the group’s brands.

Too little range for a compact electric sedan?

Opel announces autonomy in the mixed cycle WLTP to 418 kma somewhat fair figure, especially if we know that its younger sister, the Opel Corsa Electric or even the Peugeot e-208, are less expensive and also have more than 400 km of autonomy.

If you find the Peugeot e-308 quite out of your budget, especially given its specs, the Opel Astra Electric may have to reconcile you with the compact electric sedans from Stellantis. Indeed, when the lioness starts from 43,900 euros, with the same autonomy as Opel, the Astra is exhibited with 40,990 eurosexcluding the environmental bonus of 5,000 euros.

Opel Astra Electric is already stored

Standard equipment is quite attractive, including automatic high beams, front and rear parking sensors, LED fog lights, automatic air conditioning, a 10-inch touchscreen and even 18-inch wheels.

The top trim, called the GS, costs €2,000 more and adds a 360° all-round view, a heated steering wheel or even a two-tone paint job with a contrasting roof.

On the brand’s website in France Opel is already offering a commercial discount of €1,500 on both trimsdropping the price to €34,490 (excluding bonus) for the base version and €36,490 for the top GS version.
