Russia is “allocating a huge amount of resources” to create divisions among Kyiv’s allies, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said on Monday, hours after the Kremlin commented on the West’s “fatigue” in supporting Ukraine, writes AFP.

“Vladimir Putin’s greatest hope is precisely that the West and the world will tire of siding with Ukraine in this war. Russia allocates huge resources for this,” he said at a press conference with the head of EU diplomacy, Josep Borrell.

“Let’s not joke about it,” he added.

Dmytro Kuleba called the visit of the ministers of foreign affairs of the European Union countries, who met on Monday in Kyiv, “more than symbolic.”

“This is a concrete tool to deny this so-called lack of unity,” he rejoiced.

Earlier on Monday, Russian presidential spokesman Dmytro Peskov predicted that “fatigue” in support of Ukraine “will grow in various countries, including the United States.”

The future of US aid is in doubt after it was pulled out of a temporary funding deal to avoid a federal shutdown.

Dmytro Kuleba also took advantage of the meeting of European ministers to ask his colleagues to help Ukraine export grain through the Black Sea “at full capacity”, despite threats from Moscow and against the background of conflict over this issue with neighboring countries, in particular Poland.

“If the EU and Ukraine unite to guarantee the security of this corridor (in the Black Sea), it will be able to function at full capacity,” Dmytro Kuleba said.

According to the Ukrainian minister, the participants of Monday’s meeting discussed the grain topic “in great detail”, welcoming the fact that “everyone is making efforts” in this area.
