Lille will pay two million euros to Marcelo Bielsa

The Court of Appeal in Douai handed down a verdict in the dispute on Friday, which Lille can count as a victory, given that Bielsa had demanded a total of €19m in compensation since his sacking by the Doges almost six years ago.

Arriving at Lille in the summer of 2017, when he signed a two-year contract with the Hexagon club, Bielsa was released a few months later after falling out with the club’s management.

After parting with Lille, Marcelo Bielsa coached the English team Leeds United from 2018 to 2022, and now he is the head coach of Uruguay, writes Agerpres.
