General Giorgice Vlad, deputy chief of the General Defense Staff, said Romania was ready to use “all military power to defend Romanian territory,” “depending on the level of threat.” The statement was made in the context of the fact that several remains of drones were found on the territory of Romania, but the radars of the Romanian army did not detect anything when they entered Romanian airspace.
- “We decided to involve about 600 soldiers to strengthen the defense line in the northern part of Dobrudja. We have deployed some radars, we have activated defenses, and we have held discussions with our alliance partners (NATO) to find a solution to counter Russian aggression,” General Georgy Vlad said in an interview with the Swedish television station Sveriges TV.

When asked if he was ready to use his anti-aircraft systems against Russian drones, General Georgy Vlad said:
- “Depending on the level of the threat, we are ready to use all military power to protect the territory of Romania.”
We will remind, on Thursday, Romania decided to close the airspace in the north of Dobrudja.
- According to the statement of the Ministry of Defense, “starting from Wednesday, September 13, the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure together with the Ministry of National Defense, responsible for the management of the national airspace, introduced additional flight restrictions in the airspace bordering Ukraine from the northern part of Dobrudja, between Sulina and Galats, at a depth of 20-30 km inside the national airspace, up to a height of 4,000 m.”
According to the quoted source, in these restricted areas, “manned or unmanned aircraft are prohibited from flying, with the exception of government aircraft (including SMURD and emergency aircraft).”
Romania’s radars have not yet recorded a single drone that fell on the territory of Romania
We will remind you that this week Russian troops continued their attacks on the Ukrainian port infrastructure from Reni and Izmail, which are near the border between Ukraine and Romania. The Romanian authorities have sent an RO-Alert message to eight settlements in Tulcea county, located near the border with Ukraine.
The Ministry of Defense announced on Wednesday morning that based on the information received from the ISU Tulcea regarding the telephone messages through the 112 service about the possible cases of a drone strike in the sector between the settlements of Nufăru, Malcoci and Valea Nucarilor in Tulcea county, Army teams are investigating these situations.
MApN later reported that a Romanian army helicopter detected new fragments similar to military drones in the area of some settlements more than 15 kilometers from the border with Ukraine.
According to the Ministry of Defense, the wreckage was found in the area of Nuferu and Victoria, scattered over an area of several tens of meters.
The city of Nuferu is 14-15 km from the nearest points to the border with Ukraine, and Victoria is 17-18 km from the border. Nufăru is located 10 km from the center of Tulcea.
The first two cases of the discovery of drone remains on the territory of Romania were near the city of Plauru, located almost on the border, but Nuferu and Victoria are much further from the border.
In none of the three cases did Romania’s radars detect anything.
