The United States of America doubled its uranium imports from Russia in the first half of this year, while insisting on the continuation of European sanctions, Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijártó said on Monday, as quoted by hirado.hu.

At the Congress of the Atomic Industry of Central and Eastern Europe, the head of Hungarian diplomacy once again accused that Europe did not give adequate answers to the war in Ukraine, the sanctions policy was a complete failure, the volume of energy resources decreased significantly, and the price of energy carriers increased, which seriously reduces competitiveness.

He said nuclear power could be “a great platform for pragmatic cooperation based on common interests between East and West, because common sense should be maintained even in the face of conflict,” and “the whole world will only gain from it.”
