Romania defeated Croatia and will play in the quarterfinals of the European Men’s Volleyball Championship

The Romanian men’s volleyball team achieved a strong result at the European Championship, beating the Croatian team 3:2 in sets.

In a match that lasted two and a half hours, Romania confirmed victory over Olympic champions France and edged past Croatia after a crazy deciding set.

Later in the quarter-finals, Romania will face the winner of the France-Bulgaria match, which will also take place this evening at 20:30.

Romania has 5 medals at the European Volleyball Championship, including one gold (1963), two silver (1955 and 1958) and two bronze (1971 and 1977).
