France secured their fifth straight win in their Euro 2024 qualifying group with a 2-0 win over Ireland.

Team Hexagon continues their excellent run from the qualification group for the 2024 European Championship.

The world runners-up had an emotionless 2-0 victory over Ireland in a match dominated by Didier Deschamps’ formation.

The first strike came in the 19th minute when Kylian Mbappe passed the ball to Aurelien Chuameni and the Real midfielder scored with a superb strike into the far corner.

However, the French coach also received bad news. The best scorer in the history of the national team, Olivier Giroud, was injured and left the field in tears in the 26th minute of the game.

He was replaced by Marcus Thuram and the son of the former France defender made it 2-0 (48 minutes) with a perfect rebound.

The visitors also had a great chance through Ogbene but his header was brilliantly saved by Mike Magnan.

Ousmane Dembele could have made it 3-0 for the hosts, but the PSG player hit the crossbar hard.

With this result, the French national team scores 15 points out of the maximum possible and leads Group B without conceding a goal.
