
President Volodymyr Zelenskyi told Ukrainians in a video speech on Wednesday night that it was a difficult day because of the Russian attack on Kostyantynivka, which killed dozens of civilians, but it was also a day full of diplomatic events, recalling, among other things. Zelensky expressed his condolences to the families of those killed in the terrorist attack on the central square of Kostyantynivka and expressed his gratitude to everyone in the world who condemned “this next manifestation of Russian evil” and supports Ukraine and the Ukrainian people.
“It is very important that the response to Russian terror is exclusively an even greater solidarity of the world. Every manifestation of such solidarity really helps save lives,” Zelenskyy said.
“Today I addressed the leaders participating in the Three Seas Summit, a large region that is one of the sources of European strength. The Baltic Sea, the Black Sea and the Adriatic Sea are the countries on our side of Europe. The high-level meeting took place in Romania, and I appealed to all our partners and neighbors to continue to protect the unity of Europe,” said the Ukrainian leader.
He then talked about important international events hosted by Kyiv and mentioned the visit of Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen and US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken.
A summit of the wives and husbands of the presidents of the partner countries was also held in Kyiv, the topic of which is “an extremely important and sensitive topic, namely, how we are going through this war, how our hearts and souls are going through the war. How to overcome the pain of war. Mental health, mental stability of people is something that needs to be worked on, just like any other manifestation of our stability,” Zelenskyy said.
He also said he had signed new defense, political and humanitarian agreements on Wednesday, but did not give details.
“Also, we are preparing a new international message so that this week will be even more active in foreign policy activities. We want our soldiers and people to feel stronger,” Zelenskyy said. “I thank everyone who helps us and will help us! I thank everyone whose strength is Ukrainianness!”, concluded the president.
