
After collaborating with the Third Reich, Porsche wanted to restore its reputation in 1963 by launching Porsche 911 : a successful bet, as this coupé has now become a cult model worldwide, and so the Stuttgart firm is celebrating its 60th anniversary This year.
In addition to the launch of the limited edition Porsche 911 S/T, the German manufacturer has partnered with a well-known sportswear brand to launch two special editions of Puma trainers, limited and numberedwhich will be presented at the Munich Motor Show: the “Retro Sneakers” represent the past, while the “Heritage” sneakers represent the 911 of today.
Puma Porsche 911 sneakers: two new models
there “Retro Sneakers” characterized by the classic narrow and straight silhouette of the 1972 Porsche 911 S 2.5 with a light blue color inspired by the exterior color of the historic car. The model also features the number 56 on the back, while suede inserts complement the smooth leather eyelets and tongue, as well as retro red contrast stitching.
These are sneakers limited to 1972 copies, referring to the year of the car: each model will have its number on the back of a leather tab attached to the side of the boot, with the letter Porsche at the top. We also find the round commemorative Porsche 911 60th anniversary logo on the black woven label, on the insole, as well as on the removable brown leather label.
Limited and numbered edition
there Heritage sneakers has a more modern and sporty silhouette with a color palette inspired by the new Porsche 911 S/T, with a gray shade of the shoe’s smooth leather and a cognac brown shade of the interior upholstery. The model has the number 63 on the back, which represents the year the Porsche 911 was born, as well as the Porsche inscription.
This model limited to 1963 copies : the numbering can be found on the textile label inside the tab, which shows the design of the car seats. The round 60th anniversary Porsche 911 logo is also colored and can be found on the tongue, a removable label made from the outer leather of the shoe, or the insole.
The left boot of both sneakers features a red lace, while the right boot features a black lace: a second pair of laces also comes in the box to match the look of the shoe, as does a carry bag.
These two limited edition Puma trainers will be available for exclusive pre-sale from 5 September 2023 at Porsche pop-up shop at the Munich Motor Showand then available to order from September 6 on the brand’s website, at the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart, at the Porsche Factory Stores in Zuffenhausen and Weissach or on Puma.com from September 24, 2023 in Europe.
