On August 29, 2022, Simona Halep played her last official match on the world stage. At the US Open, in the inaugural round, our athlete unexpectedly defeated Daria Snigur (at that time, 124th place in the WTA, based on the qualification). A year later, Halep is still awaiting a decision in her doping trial.

A lot has changed since that moment: Daria (21 years old) has no noticeable results, and Simona has not played an official match and is still disqualified for doping.
